Heidi V. Huck is a contemporary realist painter. Her work includes both landscape and figurative themes. Her style is realistic with subtle abstraction allowing the work “space to breathe”. Her paintings engage the audience, asking them to filter the image through their own experience.
“My goal is that the viewer connects to the work in a personal way.”
Heidi studied drawing with Andrew Forge at Yale University. She completed her medical doctorate at the Medical College of Virginia, Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU), medical residency at Michael Reese Medical Center and advanced training at the University of Chicago. Later, she studied biomedical visualization and illustration at the University of Illinois.
Heidi currently lives on the shores of Lake Michigan in the northwest corner of Michigan’s lower peninsula.
