Drawing his whole life, painting in oils since the age seven, Kirk Larsen is recognized with over 176 awards for painting, drawing, sculpture, photography and more (including Museum Purchase, EIF Grand prize and the “Great Painters of Cape Ann Award). A veteran of over 50 plein air competitions and invitationals including Grand Canyon 100th Year Celebration of Art; Gloucester Art Festival; Paradise Paint Out (Florida Keys); Citations for Art as Public Service; US Coast Guard COGAP program; 52 solo exhibitions; Plein Air Easton; and Oil Painters of America national, regional, and plein air events.
Kirk has been featured in Fine Art Connoisseur Magazine, Plein Air Magazine, Outdoor Painter, Southwest Art. He has a BFA in Illustration, and is a former professor at the Parsons New School University, writer (nominated poet Laureate of Nassau County), Film/television actor, motivational speaker, and plays a mean blues harp.
