Through painting Lynn finds a divine connection with nature.
After graduating from Purdue University, Lynn became an art director in corporate advertising. While working on a masters’ degree at University of Louisville, she took her first painting class and never looked back. She has documented the landscapes of Kentucky and the Midwest, Ohio River scenes, Churchill Downs, and National Parks. She also has a series of aerial paintings created from photos she has taken from Cessna airplane flights.
Painting was her form of meditation throughout the cancer treatments of her young son. She’s supported the Norton Children’s Hospital through many avenues from painting donations to volunteering as an art instructor with childhood cancer patients and their families. Her recent volunteer work supported a mass Covid vaccination effort in Louisville.
Lynn is a signature member of the American Impressionist Society, Indiana Plein Air Painters and Painters of the Bluegrass. Her work is featured in Southwest Art Magazine and the Plein Air Magazine. She created the 2018 Derby and Oaks Poster and the 2018 Woodford Reserve Bourbon Holiday label.
