Learn to simplify what you see in nature to more efficiently translate what you see to a two-dimensional surface. Techniques covered will include what to look for when picking a scene, how to capture and interpret big masses and shapes, creating a focal area, and simplifying color and value.

• This 2-day workshop is ideal for intermediate to advanced students. Any painting medium, as well as pastels, are welcome - the instructor will be using oils.
