This is a view peering down at Lake Michigan from the upper edge of the Sleeping Bear dunes at Pierce Stocking Drive stop #9, where I joined a group of spectators to watch the arduous march of tourists who had ignored the posted warnings against descending to the lake below, and now had to climb back up the steep edge of the 100ft sand dune.
