PGT 2023 awards juror Joseph Lomardo will demonstrate in Hannah Park next to CTAC. CTAC will provide folding chairs. If you would prefer a camp chair, please feel free to bring it. The demonstration will move inside to the classroom if the weather does not cooperate.

About the Demo

Joseph Lombardo will teach how to build a plein air painting in clear and relatable terms. He will create a large scale painting on location in 2 hours. Lombardo uses enlightening descriptions and examples to make painting concepts tangible. His students call them “Joe-isms,” new ways of seeing that make our lessons eye opening, understandable, practical, succinct, and on point. I encourage artists to work fearlessly, to loosen up and see the essence of simplified form. Forget the details and go for the “big picture.” Joe will teach you to see the landscape and paintings with “new eyes.”
