My original plan was to paint at Sleeping Bear Dunes, but when I arrived, I quickly changed my mind when I realized it was far too windy to paint. So instead, I decided to drive around, taking random roads and seeing where they led to. It's easy to do this for far too long, always wondering what's around the next corner, but eventually you have to settle to something. I choose this particular curve because I loved the wait the road snaked back into the distance, while shadows crept across the pavement and electrical wires connected the foreground to the background.
