In my career as an architect, I began my creative process with quick ink and marker sketches. This evolved into a fascination with the expressive watercolor style. Today, I quickly capture the mood of street and landscape scenes through expressions of natural light, using bold and varied brush strokes.
In my Architectural career I won over 20 AIA (American Institute of Architects) Design Awards. My first Plein Air Painting competition yielded Best Watercolor at White Bear Center for the Arts - Into Nature Plein Air 2022. Quickly followed by winning Best in Show 2022 – Open Class at Plein Air Grand Marais. Both, an honor and my springboard into the world of plein air competitions.
