Artist's Statement

As a full time artist, most of my days are spent painting and pondering light. My portfolio predominately consists of both plein air and studio work. Whether it be a landscape, still life or figure painting, the natural world has been my greatest teacher of light quality. Herein lies my artistic vision; to capture the intricate light qualities of all that I paint.  This inspiration of light is what strongly connects my entire body of work. Each individual painting emphasizes my vision while demonstrating how the patterns of light relate to one another in an organic and remarkable way.
